Responsibilities:
This marketing position will require the candidate to work closely with our Factories, Sr. Management, and Sales in communicating customers requirements to the factories and to drive solutions to those needs. Primary customer application involvement will be AV Equipment, Printers/Copiers, Set Top Boxes, Industrial, Mobile and Consumer Electronics. Products include Photo Couplers, Photo Interrupters, Distance Measuring Sensors, IR for Remote Control, Emitters/Detectors, Ambient Light Sensors, Proximity Sensors etc. Reports to the Director of EC Marketing
Functional Requirements
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
(1) Drive design-wins in target markets and applications through training/motivating/supporting the sales force, both via your staff and through personal involvement in winning designs and supporting major OEM customers.
(2) Coordinate with factories on technical, pricing, delivery, quality and other issues in order to close design-wins or purchase orders.
(3) Achieve groups sales revenue targets through effective sales techniques for assigned products and management of staff
(4) Overall management of product line inventory and purchases for optoelectronics.
(5) Prepare semi-annual product line business plans for Optoelectronics.
(6) Develop and perform product presentations in conjunction with the sales force.
(7) Update and maintain Optoelectronics product pricing programs.
(8) Manage new product introductions.
(9) Drive the development of sales programs, marcom plans, success stories, website content and other promotional sales aids
(10) Where necessary, organize the development of product collateral, and technical documentation
(11) Perform competitive analyses in order to implement sales penetration strategies
(12) Perform training for sales personnel, including sales force, reps, and distributors.
(13) Coordinate factory taskforce visits of customers.
(14) Prepare required monthly sales/forecast/inventory analyses and reports.
(15) Travel throughout North American as well as international is required.
(16) Perform other duties as assigned by management.
