Responsibilities:
A. Accounting
(1) Review the accounting records periodically to insure that proper accounting and control procedures are maintained.
(2) Review daily cash receipts and disbursements and verify the monthly bank reconciliations.
(3) Sign payment checks and initiate/authorize wire transfers for payments.
(4) Review monthly financial reports and prepare monthly reports as required.
(5) Review Hourly and Salary payroll registers and prepare 401(k) contribution schedule for each pay period, and submit them to Treasurer.
(6) Review 401(k) contribution information and prepare the contribution schedule for each pay period, and submit them to Treasurer.
(7) Assist the person in charge of accounting at subsidiary companies including answering questions and providing entries.
(8) Prepare and provide required information for Tax Returns, FIN48 and Year-end Provisions.
(9) When Tax Returns are ready, review them and instruct AP clerk for payment.
(10) Prepare and provide required information for Annual Audit and answer questions from Auditors for subsidiaries and related companies.
(11) Prepare annual budget with president and sales managers.
B. Human Resources
(1) Assist president of subsidiary companies for handling grievances from employees.
(2) Coordinate with Agent for Medical Insurance and/or 401(k) Administrator for preparing the required reports and setting up Employee Meeting as required.
(3) Provide information regarding Pay, Employee Benefits and other issues for president of subsidiary companies as necessary.
(4) Assist President and Accounting/Office Manager during a negotiation with employee Committee for renewal of Employee Agreement.
(5) Assist President and/or Human Resource Manager of subsidiaries in interviewing candidates for new hires as requested.
C. General Affairs and Legal Matters
(1) Maintain the company records and copies of legal documents.
(2) File of make sure to be filed annual reports and registries with States and maintain such records.
(3) Maintain and process any changed of all bank accounts.
(4) Coordinate with Insurance Agent for General (Property) Liabilities and Workers Compensation insurance for subsidiary companies.
(5) Review legal and official documents, such as Leases, Rent, Employment Contract, etc., and provide suggestions ad required.
(6) Assist Managers and President as well as Presidents of subsidiary companies for communicating with General Counsel and other lawyers.
D. Other duties.
(1) File the reports and communicate with Government and Regulatory Agencies as required.
(2) Translation of various documents from Japanese to English, and vice-versa.
