Job Information

Responsibilities:

 

  • Establish and maintain project timing using Microsoft Project.
  • Coordinate the development tasks for the cross-functional team. Define priority for the cross-functional team members.
  • Ensure the company standards and policies are followed by the cross-functional team members through the all development steps.
  • Conduct the project according to APQP standards using Gate Workbook and Phase Sign Offs.
  • Propose the product development strategy. Describe the strategy in a development plan.  Communicate the strategy across the cross-functional team.
  • Champion the engineering changes and their impact on cost project risk and timing with all Stakeholders.
  • Communicate and negotiate the specifications and requirements with customer.
  • Support customer meetings related to the project for technical, timing and deliverable issues during the development.
  • Ensure customer requirements directly associated the Statement or Work (SOW)/Statement of Requirements (SOR)
  • Support Plant Deliverables as needed. Travel overall should be approximately 25% but during high impact portions of the Project, 100% travel may be required for a few weeks.
  • Ensure successful launches on time at customer and the company assembly facilities by coordinating resources.
  • Ensure prototype deliveries on time according to customer needs.
  • Assure company interest and bottom line are maintained in all activities.
  • Support global quote activities.
  • Support all programs from Project Kick Off through Start of Production (SOP) + 90 Days.
  • Supply the information needed by the customer (technical presentation, project status, etc.)
  • Monitor all project timing charts, key milestone dates/timing.
  • Assume project reporting to management through Risk Analysis, Phase Sign Offs and Red Flag Meetings.
  • Inform the management on risks on the project on real time with proposed containment actions plan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Tooling, or other accredited degrees is desired.
  • 5-10 years’ experience at a Tier 1 supplier required.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese required.
  • Working knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, and PPAP activities.
  • Resulted-oriented with the ability to support cross-functional local and global team.
  • Ability to manage timelines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% as required.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of APQP procedures along with a comprehensive knowledge of automotive program launch requirements.
  • Understand engineering terminology and ability to real blueprints.
