Job Information

Responsibilities

 

  • Regular communications with customers, mills, suppliers, foreign offices/suppliers, logistic providers (customs broker, port terminals, barge, rail, truck), sales personnel, management to continue and grow sales/profit.
  • Monitoring order status, order expediting to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Manage the logistics flow of materials from shipment to delivery.
  • Order entry through invoicing using IBM AS-400, JDE software.
  • Import Documentation including issuing contracts of purchase and contracts of sales, commercial invoices and handling shipping documents for custom clearance and logistics arrangements.
  • Arrange marine insurance declaration upon shipment leaving foreign ports.
  • Filing insurance claim in a timely manner and close follow up until settlement.
  • Receive order from customers and release order to suppliers.
  • Inventory management and inventory reconciliation for in transit, warehousing and consignment business.
  • Payment to supplier/vendors.
  • Account Receivable follow up with customers by communicating with Credit Dept.

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Import and Export Documentation is highly desirable.
  • Responsible for an established group of customers.
  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to solve problems.
  • Keep organized files of each business transaction.
  • Strong math skills for unit conversions, commission calculation, and cost allocation.
  • Prepare the documentation to be presented for Letter of Credit negotiation when applicable.
  • Provide with copies, fax, scan documents, prepare presentations, and courier documents to related office or third parties as required.
  • Detail-orientated is a must.
  • Diligent and team player.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Familiarity of steel business is desirable but not necessary.
