Our client, global medical device company in Irvine, CA, is looking for Account Manager, Japan.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Cross-Functional Management, Execution, and Sales Support      33%

  • Create and implement strategic and tactical product plans to achieve marketing, financial and corporate goals.
  • Manage product portfolio and lifecycles, and provides knowledge and direction in discovery, product development, strategy, commercialization, and pricing.
  • Support business of existing distribution partner.
  • Establish effective working relationships with key surgeons, internal cross-functional groups, and other staff groups to assist in driving strategy and initiatives.
  • Manage Product Launches and Limited User Release Rollouts.

 

 

Product Training & Support                                                               33%

  • Provide technical and clinical expertise for respective product lines.
  • Establish key strategic surgeon education and engagement initiatives for our products.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Professional Education Team to manage International Sales Distributor Training Initiatives.
  • Work with Marketing and Engineering to develop surgeon and distributor-facing training tools.

 

 

New Market Development                                                                                 34%

  • Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships to build business with distribution partner, key strategic accounts/partners/surgeons.
  • Develop sales and marketing strategy, positioning, and marketing plan in conjunction with Global VP of Sales.
  • Work with Marketing, Engineering, and Professional Education to develop and execute high value brand and product recognition and communication initiatives.
  • Identify, monitor and report on competitive related activities.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Marketing, Business
  • 3-5 Years of medical device sales and/or product development in medical technology/life sciences preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Japanese
  • Must be able to travel to Japan (3-4 times a year)
  • Strong proficiency using MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as a collaborative team member as well as independently
  • Excellent attention to detail, producing high quality output appropriate to broader context.
  • Flexibility and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong leadership, initiative, and management skills
  • Commercialization expertise in new product launch and managing launch readiness
